LeoLabs will be commissioning Australia’s first commercial space surveillance radar system, the West Australian Space Radar (WASR), on Tuesday 31 January, 2023. This is an exciting part of the growth of LeoLabs global network of space radars providing the foundation for the future global space traffic management system as they continue to build out their global radar network as part of their mission to propel the dynamic space era with superior information.

ISC Space Labs Tour

The International Space Centre (ISC) at The University of Western Australia are hosting a tour of the ISC on Friday 3rd February, as part of the SSA Forum week of events.

Participants will have an opportunity to tour each of ISC’s space labs which include:

  • WA Optical Ground Station
  • Plants for Space
  • UWA Robotics Laboratory
  • National Geotechnical Centrifuge Facility (Experiments in Variable Gravity)
  • Mercury Cadmium Telluride (MCT) Production Facility for Hyperspectral Infrared Detectors.
  • Space Crystallography

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

SSA Forum 2023 events in the Perth CBD hosted by ASDAF, CIC and Curtin University will be held in 137/139 St George’s Tce Perth, Brookfield Place.

The closest CPP parking options are CPP His Majesty’s and CPP Convention Centre. There are also a number of private Wilson Parking options nearby. 

Yes, all SSA Forum 2023 events are free to register and attend. Some events are by invitation-only, while others are open to the general public. Please check out individual event listings for details of ticket registrations.
