Project Overview
Landgate recognises the benefits from having their Earth observation products integrated with radar satellite data – which is largely effective regardless of cloud and smoke cover, making it more reliable in emergency situations.
ASDAF worked with Landgate to develop workflows to routinely acquire Sentinel-1 data and automate pre-processing requirements for fire mapping, and flood and biomass/fuel load monitoring.
Landgate’s Earth observation products are crucial to emergency services personnel and departments such as the Departments of Primary Industries and Regional Development; Fire and Emergency Services; and Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
